3 year research on real-time transportation information

IWe entered into the third project year of the TMC research consortium, in which we search for expanding traffic data sources and extending the utility of TMC technology. During this last project year, the three companies and one research institution making up the consortium will focus on developing the pilot solutions.

AMembers of the consortium are the Bay Zoltán Research Institute’s Miskolc-based BayLogi division, Traffivnav lt., which created TMC services in Hungary and numerous other, European countries, I-Cell Ltd., which plays a leading role in domestic vehicle tracking solutions, as well as Térképtár Kft. In December, they presented the research and pilot development results to the professional forum of ITS Hungary. During realization of pilot solutions, real-time positional data originating from vehicle tracking are getting to be used and participants test the applicability of TMC technology in public transportation.
